Dependent men more unfaithful?

A new study showed that men who were financially dependent on their other halves were more likely to be unfaithful, the Daily Mail of London reported Tuesday. One explanation for the finding could be that low-earning men feel that their partners' high wages threaten their masculinity and having an affair is a way of compensating for feelings of inadequacy with respect to gender identity. In contrast, low-earning women may worry about how they'll support themselves if they're caught, so they stay faithful.
