Defending champions Germany have been eliminated from the World Cup at the group stage following defeat by South Korea, in one of the biggest shocks in the competition's history.

Knock out指“擊敗，淘汰”，所以這場比賽如果以韓國隊為主語的話，應(yīng)該說South Korea knocked out defending champion Germany in a 2-0 match on Wednesday。德國隊是被韓國隊打敗，慘遭淘汰，所以這里使用的是被動的get knocked out，當(dāng)然也可以用be knocked out的形式。

Exit平時的意思是“（建筑物或者某個場所的）出口”，比如，emergency exit（緊急出口）。這里的exit指的是從某個活動中“離場”，比如：England's exit from the European Championship.
