This week marks the start of annual plenary session of the National People's Congress (NPC) in China.
本周，第十二屆全國(guó)人民代表大會(huì)第一次會(huì)議將在北京開(kāi)幕。
The NPC is expected to vote on two key measures.
據(jù)預(yù)計(jì)，本屆人大會(huì)議將就兩項(xiàng)關(guān)鍵措施進(jìn)行表決。
1. The amendment to the land management law - We have previously reported that China will prioritize land reforms as officials reiterate that urbanization is crucial to driving economic growth. This bill if passed will boost farmers' share of revenue from land sales.
1. 土地管理法修正案－我們此前曾報(bào)道，中國(guó)官員屢次重申城鎮(zhèn)化對(duì)推動(dòng)經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展至關(guān)重要，因此土地改革將成為本屆兩會(huì)的重點(diǎn)。如果法案得以通過(guò)，農(nóng)民將獲得更多的征地補(bǔ)償。
2. 'The Big Department System reform' - A bill to merge the Ministry of Railways with the Ministry of Transport.

Policymakers are expected to stick to goals they have already iterated. The Government Work Report, which is typically delivered by the premier and is considered the Chinese equivalent of the State of the Union speech, is expected to be along the lines of the "make progress while maintaining stability" theme of the Central Economic Work Conference in December
