Officials from embassies in China and representatives of countries such as France, the U.S., Germany, Australia, Mexico, South Korea, New Zealand, Iran, the Philippines and Canada, are expected to attend the opening ceremony of Fuzhou's Fourth Hot Spring Cultural Festival, in Liangjiang on Oct 26.
A symposium for domestic and overseas businesspeople - including a photographic exhibition and a lecture on the benefits of hot springs - will be held during the festival.
Hot springs are the most common type of geothermal activity, caused by the transfer of heat from deep within the earth to the earth's surface. Fuzhou is blessed with hot springs – and a mild sub-tropical marine climate.
