Xingyi city in Qianxinan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture put on two concerts at the Culture Center Theatre and the Wanfeng Forest scenic area on Oct 15 and 16.
The concert, held in the theatre on Oct 15, started with the Ode to Wanfeng Forest. Folk music played with erhu (a two-stringed bowed musical instrument), guzheng (21 or 25-string plucked instrument), violin and saxophone was put performed. Audiences got the chance to enjoy classic pieces, such as The Moon Over a Fountain and White Haired Girl.
The concert in Wanfeng Forest also attracted tourists and music enthusiasts, delighted to enjoy the open air.
The concerts were held to promote local culture, enrich residents’ lives and drive the tourism business.
