FAST, also known as the "Eye of Heaven", is located in Pingtang county, Qiannan Buyei and Miao autonomous prefecture.

The telescope has a reflector as large as 30 soccer fields, making it the largest in the world. It was put into use in Sept 2016 to probe space for the faintest signs of life and electromagnetic interference.

Guizhou has had six other attractions featured on national stamps in the past, including Qingyan Ancient Town, the architecture of the Dong ethnic group, Fanjing Mountain and Wanfeng Forest.
