Four college graduates from Guizhou province have benefited from making local ethnic handicrafts.

In October 2016, Yang Congsen, Tang Qifeng, Wei Shaoyuan and Shi Qinglan graduated from Qiandongnan National Polytechnic College in Kaili.

Unlike many other college graduates who find jobs in big or small companies, they decided to start their own business. They raised funds by themselves and opened a studio to produce and sell ethnic handicrafts including batik, embroidery and silverwork.

Combined with creative fashionable aesthetics, their products have not only gained awards in several competitions, but have also gained favor among younger consumers. After just a year, the studio has created and sold more than 10,000 products, making a profit of about 300,000 yuan ($45,775.67).
