中國國家副主席李源潮會見了在日本侵華戰爭后由中國人撫養長大的日本遺孤代表團。

日本遺孤（遺華日僑），是指1945年日本戰敗投降后，日本侵略者撤退和遣返期間，遺棄在中國并被中國人撫養長大的日本孤兒，常用Japanese orphan/ Japanese "left-behind orphan"/Japanese war orphan表示。

李源潮說，中日近代以來經歷了日本軍國主義（Japanese militarism）侵華的歷史悲劇，戰后中國人民把數以千計的日本遺孤撫養成人，展現了博大胸懷，日本遺孤也積極促進兩國友好（work actively to promote friendship between the two countries）。今年是中國人民抗日戰爭（Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression）暨勝利70周年，中方愿在中日四個政治文件基礎上，本著以史為鑒、面向未來精神（in the spirit of taking history as a mirror and facing up to the future），推動中日關系改善發展。

日本遺孤表示，日本是祖國，中國是故鄉（Japan is the motherland, but China is the hometown.）。衷心希望日中世代友好，愿終身為此努力。
